Mowhawks usually feature a mostly shaved head with a column of hair down the middle of the head. The column of hair is often spiked straight up, or curly for those with coarser hair.
There are many plays on the mowhawk that have become popular in recent years, such as the “faux hawk.” This article will look at a slightly different rendition of the mowhawk (or faux hawk) that involves creating the illusion of a mowhawk, without involving a shaver. You may have seen this style around, but haven’t been able to put a name to it.
