I recently overheard a conversation in which a young lady was complemented for her short hair. “I hate long hair,” she said. “Any time my hair begins to grow out, I cut it again.”
Although definitely a stylistic power play, short hair styles can be a sensitive topic because some people have short hair by choice, but others for reasons beyond their control. However, some of the highest fashion I have ever seen has been sported by people who have short or no hair.
