For today’s Friday Inspiration, we delve into the world of personal attitude, and the way it affects personal style. “No explaining, no complaining” is derived from the “never complain, never explain” saying believed to be associated with the British royal family. Its pretty darn good advice when taken the right way. The saying, for instance, probably does not mean that you should never explain yourself, but rather, that you shouldn’t explain as a nervous habit, or merely to appease people when it is not warranted.
How can this simple, to-the-point phrase be applied to daily life, and moreover, to compliment our style?
It suffices to say that complaining is universally frowned upon, as many concede that it can make the complainer look ungrateful and entitled. And refraining from overexplaining can create a level of mystery around you that is alluring for some.
While self-centeredness and ungratefulness are toxic to the effect of a bold and edgy hairstyle, the allure that comes from only saying what needs to be said only compliments the intrigue of a bold and edgy hairstyle.
Of course, all of the assertions made here are merely opinions. We’d like to hear from you. What are your thoughts on “no explaining, no complaining”?
